History & website purpose

Hello, hello!

Welcome to my very first blog post — ever! I’ve always had a deep love for skincare, and now I finally have a space to share it with all of you.

And I want to share all of this with you!

Before I dive into product reviews and my current routine, I want to take a moment to share how my skincare journey began… if you can even call it that.

It all started around 2021, but things didn’t get serious until about two or three years ago. Okay, okay — enough rambling. Let’s get into it.

I’m originally from Florida, and during 2021, I had to take a trip to Indiana. Everything was going well... until I woke up one morning with a horrible rash on both sides of my cheeks.

At that point in my life, I didn’t even know what a cleanser was. I used liquid body wash on my face (I know, I know), and I had never broken out that badly — until I started using water from Indiana.

After that reaction, I tried everything to calm my skin. I put ice on it because it burned and hurt so badly. Even after switching to just water, the rash stuck around — though it did calm down a bit over the next few days.

Once I got back to Florida and started using our water again, the rash improved significantly. But by then, I had developed noticeable dark spots and hyperpigmentation all over my face.

At first, I was okay with it. But once I got to college, I started to realize just how bad it looked — and honestly, it took a serious toll on my confidence.

By no means did I think I was stunning before, but no teenager wants their face to look that bad.

Anyway, after that, a friend introduced me to a simple skincare routine. From there, I slowly branched out — and now here I am!

That’s all you’re getting from me for now, but if you want to hear more about how I fully dove into the complex skincare routines I use today, then you’re going to have to stick around. 😉

A Few Things About Me:

  • Age: 20

  • Sex: Female

  • Skin Type: Dry to very dry, sensitive

  • Skin Concerns: Hyperpigmentation, Dark Spots, Dullness, and Dehydration

The purpose of this website is to review skincare products and give you my honest reactions. No fluff, no sugar-coating. I hate looking up reviews and having to filter through the fake ones just to find someone real. I also can’t stand when people glaze over how a product actually performs. Just tell me the truth!

This blog will be my skincare log — a place where I rate products over time and tell you exactly how they worked (or didn’t) for me. That’s it. Just honest reviews from someone who’s been through it.

Right now, my skin isn’t perfect, but since starting this journey, I’ve learned so much. I’ve even helped a few friends kick off their own paths toward clearer, healthier skin.

I don’t really listen to influencers (that much) and tend to lean more on advice from actual dermatologists when it comes to what products I should be using.

Again, sometimes this blog might be a little rough around the edges — but hey, it’s my first time!

HUGE DISCLAIMER: I am not a dermatologist, but I do really love skincare. And just because a product works for me doesn’t mean it’ll work for you (and vice versa). These are all just honest reviews of products I’ve personally used and loved — or didn’t.

Again, thank you for clicking and reading my blog. And yeah…
Let’s start this journey! 💕✨
